On June 14, in honor of World Blood Donor Day, Gham Energy Foundation, in partnership with Gham Power, Gham Urja Sewa, NMB Bank Limited, and New Shrestha Machinery Concern, hosted a social event titled “SIP, PAINT AND SAVE”. This special gathering celebrated the spirit of giving through a beautiful blend of healthcare, art and community connection.
The event was divided into three sessions, all focused on care and connection, with over 100 participants joining in and taking part throughout the day. From donating blood and receiving free dental checkups to painting in a peaceful garden setting, the event offered something meaningful for everyone and it brought together individuals from all walks of life to contribute to a shared purpose.
A Morning of Care: Donate & Save
The event kicked off with a powerful act of compassion, a blood donation camp held in partnership with the Nepal Red Cross Society, Lalitpur Blood Transfusion Service. Dozens of people lined up to donate, their small act contributing to a life-saving cause. Alongside this, Samaj Dental provided free dental checkups, promoting the importance of oral hygiene and well-being in our communities.
Whether it was donating blood or undergoing a checkup, the “Donate & Save” session was a powerful reminder that taking care of others starts with taking care of ourselves.
An Afternoon of Creativity: Sip & Paint
As the day flowed into the afternoon, so did the mood. The “Sip & Paint” session unfolded in the lush and peaceful garden of Kathmandu Guest House, where attendees found themselves surrounded by greenery, fresh air and inspiring company.
With a refreshing cup of tea from Nepal Tea Collective in one hand and a paintbrush in the other, people of all ages enjoyed painting under the open sky. The theme, “Hope in Crimson,” brought out beautiful colors, smiles, and heartfelt moments. It wasn’t just about making art, it was about enjoying the time, connecting with others, and letting creativity flow in nature’s calm embrace.
Building Community Through Purpose
What made Sip, Paint & Save so special wasn’t just the activities, but the community spirit. The event brought together students, artists, professionals, seniors, and healthcare workers, all united by a common purpose: to give back, connect, and uplift. From the smiles of donors to the colorful masterpieces created, the day served as a powerful example of how even simple actions, giving blood, getting a checkup, or painting with others, can create lasting impact.
