About Gham Power
Gham Power Nepal Pvt. Ltd. is a Solar company based in Kathmandu, Nepal. Established in 2010, we have carried out over 4,000 solar projects with a cumulative installed capacity of over 18 MW. Our business model relies on three key products: Commercial and Industrial Solutions (through which we provide rooftop solar systems to reduce their electricity costs), Solar pumps (through which we provide a reliable irrigation source to increase farmers’ productivity), and Solar minigrids (through which we light up hundreds of houses in rural off-grid communities).
About the Role
Gham Power is accelerating the commercial energy transition across Nepal by replacing expensive diesel generation and unreliable grid supply with clean, bankable solar and Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS). We are building a high-growth commercial engine powered by private capital rather than grant reliance.
As Business Development Manager, you will own our C&I solar and BESS revenue funnel end-to-end. You are a relationship-driven commercial builder who speaks with clarity, thinks strategically, and commands trust when engaging factory owners, CFOs, and corporate boards. You see clean energy not as a standard equipment sale, but as a high-yield financial investment for business leaders. Reporting directly to the CEO, you will lead deal origination, shape technical-financial proposals with engineering, and drive deals across the finish line.
Key Responsibilities
- Pipeline Ownership & Revenue Targets: Own Gham Power’s C&I solar and BESS project pipeline. Generate, qualify, and close a significant volume of commercial projects, holding direct accountability for revenue and signed-capacity targets.
- Financial & Economic Value Creation: Build compelling business cases for prospective clients rooted in project economics—calculating Payback, IRR, and evaluating PPA vs. CAPEX options. Present directly to factory owners, CFOs, and procurement heads.
- Proposal & Solution Engineering: Coordinate closely with internal sales and engineering teams on site feasibility, design, and costing to transform qualified leads into technically sound, costed proposals.
- End-to-End Deal Management: Plan, budget, document, and oversee each transaction from initial outreach to signed contract and clean handover to the delivery team.
- Executive & Stakeholder Engagement: Support the CEO on strategic partner and investor relationships. Conduct visits, correspondence, and high-level communications with clients, government agencies, partner organizations, and ecosystem stakeholders.
- Pipeline Discipline & Reporting: Maintain accurate CRM hygiene, deliver accurate weekly pipeline forecasts, and keep commercial team momentum aligned toward targets.
Skills & Qualifications
- Management Background: Strong management experience within business development, commercial sales, or enterprise growth; an MBA is preferred.
- Financial & Technical Comfort: Proficient with financial modeling, spreadsheet analysis, and translating commercial metrics (IRR, payback period, PPA vs. CAPEX) into decision-ready business proposals.
- Executive Communication: Exceptional verbal and written communication skills with the confidence to pitch directly to C-suite executives and investment partners.
- Tech-Savvy: Comfortable navigating CRM software, digital tools, and data-driven sales workflows.
- Growth Mindset: High-ownership self-starter with a track record of managing multi-stakeholder deals and navigating complex corporate hierarchies.
What We Offer
- The opportunity to pioneer private-capital C&I solar and battery storage in Nepal alongside an energetic, mission-driven team.
- Direct exposure to corporate leadership, strategic investors, and high-impact industrial project development.
- A competitive compensation structure directly linked to revenue performance and pipeline milestones.
